Domaine Gross, GOLD R, 2020

£56.00

Gueberschwihr, Colmar, Alsace

Riesling, Muscat, Gewurztraminer

14.5%

Cert. organic

Wine from the Goldert terroir (marl-limestone) located in the commune of Gueberschwihr. Heavy soil, composed of a clay matrix interspersed with oolitic limestone pebbles.

Whole and destemmed grapes, meticulously sorted, macerated for 28 days then are pressed; fermentation takes place naturally using indigenous yeasts. This is followed by an aging of 18 months in tuns. Bottling without filtration, light sulphiting before bottling.

To be served as a red wine, this wine should be enjoyed at cellar temperature (12 to 15°). A wine that can be kept in the cellar for several years. A deep, luminous gold colour with intense spice, fruit and depth.
