WINES

It feels properly grown up to be introducing our first producer from the Côte de Beaune, and to be introducing Domaine Bachey-Legros to boot. Brothers Samuel and Lénaïc are the 6th generation of the family to run the domaine, having taken over from their mother, Christiane.

Based in Santenay, they have an enviable collection of old vines across their holdings. The brothers are rightly obsessed with the upkeep and care of these vines and aim to let them live long lives as naturally as possible. Their Chardonnays are all fermented in oak and remain on the fine lies for 12 - 15 months. The Pinots undergo very gentle extraction after a cold maceration, then aged in oak (from 20% to 100% new) for 12 - 15 months.
